Wildflower Season on the Mountain

Lots going on in town this weekend, from Ethnic Fest to Bluegrass in the Blueberries (see more here and here), but I think we’re going to try to fit some hiking (and fresh air) into our schedule, because the wildflowers are blooming up at Mount Rainier.
According to a press release from Guest Services, Mount Rainier National Park is home to 787 varieties of plants, many of which are wildflowers. The snow has melted in many of the meadows and “summer” in the park has begun.
Maybe we’ll see some of you on the trail…
