Kaiser Smokestack Demolition

Well, we don’t have as many pictures as Exit 133, or video and cool stop motion images like at KevinFreitas.net, but we do have, um, like, I guess a couple of poorly framed shots… Guess it’s time to work on those picture taking skills.
The demolition itself was a great time. Respectable turnout, but not too crowded to step right up to the fenceline for a good view. We were surprised by how not loud it was from right up close, but everybody we talked to said it was quite the window rattler up on the hill…
Heading to breakfast afterwards, a quick detour to the port observation tower (which would be much cooler if there had been ships in the terminal) nicely tied up our little trip to the tideflats.
A good time was had by all!
