Rosewood Cafe

So somewhere in the midst of a bunch of errands and some low blood sugar, we found our way to Rosewood Cafe for some lunch yesterday afternoon.
We’ve driven/biked/walked past Rosewood several times and thought it looked worth checking out, but until now the timing has been wrong.
Rosewood is definitely a cute little place. Tasteful decorating, with nice chalk-drawn menus and a homey atmosphere, and best of all a nice patio along North 26th. This place kind of reminded us of a little cafe/grocery we’ve visited in Napa Valley, so from the atmosphere standpoint I would say this place definitely has it going on.
Our sandwiches were tasty, though on a day pushing 90 degrees I would have liked to have seen a few more cold sandwich options. The slaw left a bit to be desired, but it was just a side so that could be tolerated.
Service was prompt (though there were only a few other people there at the same time as us) and friendly, and our water glasses were kept filled (a necessity on a hot day).
This is definitely somewhere I could see returning too. Reasonable walking distance from our house if we ever want to hoof it (I figure around 1.5 miles each way), cute neighborhood-y location, and a nice place to get a beer or wine where the atmosphere is less pubby and more cafe-like.
I would definitely recommend it.
