Sunday Synchronicity and Other Goings On
· Posted Monday June 4, 2007 by jamie
Yesterday, after a filling breakfast at PSP, we decided to take a bit of a walk around downtown. As we neared the Broadway Plaza fountain, we started seeing people we recognized. Trish from Embellish and the Downtown Merchants with her husband and dog. Derek from Exit133. Erik from ErikEmery.com (who also mentions the incident here). A certain artist who’s been a hot topic lately in the blogosphere. Seems that there was a little project going on amongst some of the gathered. Some of the others, like us, had just stumbled upon it. Watch for something very Tacoma-positive on Exit133 later this week…
In other news, I was excited to read on Sparkrobot last week about a new hot dog joint that should be opening soon just a couple of blocks from ThriceAllAmerican headquarters. The Red Hot bills itself as a “beer and hot dog restaurant”. (Not much on that website, but they also have a blog...) Now, I love all of the nice restaurants on Sixth Ave and all, but I’ve gotta say I’m excited to see something coming a bit more on the casual/pubby side. I mean, I like E9 and all, but there needs to be an alternative on the nights that they’re having some God-awful Karaoke night or something. And I’m not much of a beef or pork eater, but I’m assuming they’ll have some poultry or veggie options. So welcome to the neighborhood, Red Hot. We’re looking forward to it.

So why no linkage to that certain artist?
“Tacoma-positive” hmm? Maybe Derek’s going to start his own visitors center. Maybe put it in a better spot than where it is currently.

First guess was just a bit off the mark, eh?
— jamie Jun 7, 11:19 AM #Too bad, too, ‘cause maybe that would’ve meant he’d finally put out some Exit133 T-shirts!
