New Yahoo Group for Tacoma Software Developers
· Posted Wednesday February 21, 2007 by jamie
I’m not sure a ton of software developers read my site, but my Tacoma Tech Companies list pulls in at least a few.
Anyway, I wanted to help get word out about a new group focusing on software development in the Tacoma area.
The description from the Yahoo site:
The Tacoma Software Development Special Interest Group serves as a forum of discussion and networking tool for those software developers who live in the Tacoma and surrounding vicinity, regardless of specialty. Geographical areas that this group is intended to draw from include Tacoma, South King County, Gig Harbor, Lakewood, & Puyallup. Members from beyond these areas are welcome, too!
Currently it is a Yahoo Groups email list, but the long term vision might involve having organized meetings with networking, technical presentations, etc. If you are a developer, it’s definitely worth considering jumping on board with this group to help “grow” the South Sound’s programming community.
Check out the Tacoma Software Development Group.

I got an email from someone about that. I’ll have to sign up and see if anything good comes about from it. Thanks for the reminder!
