Read Some Far Side, Save the World
· Posted Tuesday November 21, 2006 by jamie

Gary Larson, retired creator of The Far Side and native son of Tacoma, has recently released another page-a-day calendar for 2007.
While his calendars essentially define the genre (if you will) and vastly outsell other page-a-day calendars, this is the first time since 2002 that you can keep track of the date with the wry humor from the Curtis grad. (In other trivia, Larson also notably has aspirations as a jazz guitarist, and I’ve gotta say I have a soft spot in my heart for anyone who has been involved in a trombone and banjo duo.)
The best thing about this calendar is that 100% of Larson’s earnings from the calendar will be donated to Conservation International to reduce the illegal wildlife trade in Asia. So you can laugh all the way to making the world a better place.
Put me down for one. Makes a great stocking stuffer!

Larson rules. He has the biggest mansion in mansion land.
