Tacoma Scenes Served Up on a Plate
· Posted Monday November 6, 2006 by jamie
October is birthday season here at ThriceAllAmerican headquarters. One of the gifts that Melissa received has a distinctly local slant: a neat plate with some cool “scenes of Tacoma”.
You have to love the shots of the ships in the waterway, the old courthouse, the giant log, and, of course, the famous(?) totem pole. But I think the picture of Mt. Tacoma takes the cake. 15,000ft must be within some sort of margin of error…
The reverse shows that the plate was, interestingly enough, made in England.
We aren’t sure on the vintage, but based on the scenes being from “over half a Century ago” I can’t see it being any older than the 1950s, and likely later. But it definitely makes a fun display piece.
